Prohibited Waste
The EPA prohibit the disposal of certain waste in Victorian landfills. The Environmental Protection (Industrial Waste Resource) Regulations 2009 do not permit the disposal of the following items:
Asbestos materials-
Disposing of materials containing asbestos requires addional permits and processes to safeguard the person handling the waste and to protect the environment. Please contact a licensed Asbestos Removalist for this service
Hazardous Waste
Hazardous chemicals include Solvents, Paints, Acids, Laboratory Waste, Oils, Grease traps etc. Please contact your local council to obtain details of disposal options

Flammable products
Disposal of flammable products such as gas bottles and liquids is prohibited. You may be able to dispose of these items free of charge at your local Recycling Transfer Station.
